The role

We are currently looking to recruit a National Sales Manager (OEM & Export) for a market leading manufacturer of water control and thermostatic valves based in Birmingham.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates will need to have had experience in a National Sales role at a senior level within the bathrooms industry, preferably involving the sales of engineered OEM components to manufacturers and export clients.

The purpose of the role is to develop and drive OEM & Export sales in both the UK & Export markets, with both existing and new accounts and to develop and execute a targeted sales plan.

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing effective working relationships at all levels within all major OEM & Export customers • Taking overall responsibility for delivery of targeted sales volumes, margins and exceeding customer expectations • Driving OEM product development opportunities through the business • Working closely with internal sales, purchasing and engineering to ensure customer requirements are met • Providing detailed market intelligence, identifying market trends and new business opportunities • Working closely with the Commercial Director in developing a successful strategic plan for sustained growth in OEM & Export markets

Candidate requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Track record of sales growth in previous roles • Strong negotiation and influencing skills • Ability to develop effective customer relationships at senior level • Analytical and ability to work competently with detail • Entrepreneurial in approach • Enthusiastic and resilient • Educated to 'A' Level or equivalent standard • Minimum 5 years experience in a sales or related role
